Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons, swimsuit model Nina Agdal, “Fall Out Boy” bassist Pete Wentz, U.S. soccer legend Landon Donovan and former Padres great Trevor Hoffman are among the first round of participants announced Monday by Major League Baseball for the All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game on July 10 at Petco Park in San Diego.

Also participating will be actor Tyler Hoechlin, a former Arizona State infielder better known as one of the stars of Richard Linklater’s critically acclaimed film “Everybody Wants Some” and the 2017 sequel to “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Mark-Paul Gosselaar, star of this fall’s FOX series “Pitch,” will play along with Sterling K.
